Poetry Speaks: Eclipsed
No sign, no proof, a truly mysterious case
I might have missed it, or is it still there?
I was vigilant, sure! But did I care?
On foggy days, it beamed, persistent
On rainy spells, it sang, innocent
Darkest nights, it glowed, significant
Fragile hope consumed, moribund
Dueled by false testimony
And fueled by a seething band
Aligned to torment my soul
Maligned and digressed by hate
And break what once was whole
Speak:
Thank you for reading this poem. I decided to do a 10, 9, 8, 7-meter poem to feel the extra kick of difficulty. Then I realized, it was indeed hard for a beginner like me. Good thing islanders from the Isle of Write offered to help. You can come visit us anytime. Special thanks to @geekorner for the workshop. :D
