Immortality - An original poem by me.
Immortality
To live for a million years,
that is the dream.
In pursuit of it, we spend
all of our lives.
Unaware that true immortality is based
not upon your age, but upon your deeds
Whether you change the world for good,
or enslave all of mankind,
Whether you cure cancer,
or destroy the world.
You can be immortal!
However, it is the perspective that counts.
Darkness, and light.
Light, and darkness.
It is for you to decide
which side will win
The eternal battle
For the universe.
Time does not forget,
what you do will endure.
So, make it count, do something good.
The dark has enough victories.
Now it is our turn, the light's!
We still have it in us,
let's show them through the night,
and attain immortality.
