Don't Ever Think That Nobody Knows
A TV is on
A channel is tuned to your show
And don't think that nobody sees
The care you take
To make memories
Or the smiles you share
When your courage lifts
Put to chance your soul is bare
Think now that somebody feels
Warmth in your skin
And a loss at your passing heels
Think about love and its touch
How you long for it
You aren't wrong to want it so much
Place everyone to the side
If you must for a time
But return from the places you hide
Blast like a piercing horn
Striking hope into hearts
Lifting others still so forlorn
Feed off the smell of the earth
Sweet scents you can trust
Along with the musk of the hearth
Dream big my child
As big as the world is round
Live and be free and be wild
Dream soft my love
As quiet as midnight beach lulls
You are the one that I dream of
Don't ever think that nobody knows
Amazing poetry and nice images to go with it. This is such a deep poem. Looks like you were deep in thought when piecing it?
Yes @jeanwandimi I suppose I was. The words and sentences came easy on this one (so did the pics). Everything just fell into place. It isn't always like that. :)
This post was chosen to be featured in this weeks SoCal Spotlight!! Thank you so much for being part of the #socalsteemit community.
Got lost in the awesomeness of your poetry!
Beautiful vibes!
