Summer Impact (Poem)

 June asked me,

“Why do you always frown when you see me?”

I replied with honesty.

I said

I hate being sticky 

for the next five months.

I hate keep drinking water.

Eating cold food means making sure they are not spoiled.

I conserve my energy

and stay indoors.

That will make me fat.

And a final reason.

People smack me.

Sometimes hard.

Saying there was a big bug close to me.
