We started out like friends
But we sought to defy the trends

I was a pack of soft heart and dreams
I envisioned a life of roses and ice-cream

You were sweet and kind like an angel
Should had know you were hiding a cudgel

But a girl of dreams would do anything
It's like the crazy love songs we sing

I spent three years pulling you away from fire
Your well-being and happiness were I desire

I was the true definition of a lover
But you simply ran me and my heart over

When you began to strike with your cudgel
I hoped the devil would be defeated by the angel

Now, all I have for hope are broken pieces
And I spend all my time gathering pieces

But I'm still holding on to hope
The last one shinning in my soul

I love you too much to let you be
One day, my true love you'll see

I only hope it wouldn't be too late
That you'll return while I still wait

Although true love wait forever
I cannot stay young forever
