Peel! Peel!! Peel!!!

Peel the skin to reveal the ills.
Peel the skin, to get the breather.
Peel the skin, to feel the pain.
Peel the skin, to know what ails you.
Peel the skin, to reveal your true color.
Peel the skin, so you can heal.

Many times over, we fear the color and pain that will arise from peeling the skin.
We wait for the wound to heal even if we are unsure of what time that would be.
We pamper our hurt and toy with the idea of never living with one.
We make the world harder every time we fail to peel the skin.

The heights of humanity has always been hidden behind wounds and then we fail to set straight the hood of our existence.
We move mountains for all the wrong things, only to return with a swollen skin incubating our ills.
Mortals never mattered and immortals only existed in Hollywood.
Our minds are ridden with catastrophic events that spans and will continue to span generations.
We are the cause of our pain and the ills that befall us.
We fight against shadows uneven and pillars well formed.
