An Original Lullaby for Hazel
My Mummy and Daddy have written me a lullaby and I love it. Mum sings it to the tune of "Hush little baby don't you cry, Mama's gonna buy you a Mockingbird'. Well at least, she thinks she sings it in tune, but she is tone deaf, but I love her voice anyway!
Here it is:
Hazel Bunny, Hazel Bunny, you're so yummy
Sweet as can be, even better than honey.
We are here for you every day, minute and hour
As you are our precious little flower.
Hazel Bunny, Hazel Bunny, you're so funny
As cute as a button, with a lovely tummy.
Its time to shut those beautiful little eyes,
Its time to go to sleep, as its nighty byes.
Hazel Bunny, Hazel Bunny, don't you cry
We'll keep you safe, while you lie
Down to sleep and all throughout your day
With cuddles and love, as you're our sunshine ray.
Hazel Bunny, Hazel Bunny,shut those eyes tight
Have a good rest all through the night
We'll be watching over you with care
You're our baby, we'll forever be there.
Hazel Bunny, Hazel Bunny, you're a little star
You need your sleep to grow and go far,
To have lovely little baby dreams
Under the sky, trees and moon beams.

I've not sang her this lullaby for a little while, although I still lose the tune and make up a new inane tune when singing it.
