The Messy Monster – An Original Poem
dislocate the bone,
as I forget decency
and become engulfed
with the sweet tang
of the greasy meat,
laced with the warm,
melting, fatty favors.
the perilously hard fragments
bent on revenge against delicate teeth.
The red stickiness, peppered
with black bits counterattack
by desperately clinging to my
shirt, face and hands, so I
cannot escape my crimes.
with ravenous eyes
turning toward
the defenseless fries,
cowering together,
seasoned in lies
that fool the senses,
a delicious surprise.
that devour fallen heroes
from tales never written.
They lay waste to everything
on their plates, while talking
about the job, the car; the kids,
background noise as I
decimate those helpess ribs.
Thank you, I like the way you capture the mood of your poems. Great work!
@linzo
Thank you for the compliment, it means a lot :)
I have to check the image source to see if there's any relation to you.:-)
No relation to me lol
"Seasoned with lies", yes the non-foodness of modern food.
I was wondering if people would catch that lol
Lol. Good one! Resteemed and shared.
Thank you so much :)
