That beautiful sound,
The buz of nothingness
The only time,
To welcomed tinnitus.
Not having to compete
With the noise and din
No TV or shouting
Or stories chimed in.
Deep breath then exhale
Just chill on the couch,
Working the groove
Relax in a slouch.
Not guilty of chores left
Or disengaged play,
Ignoring the pile of clothes
Lost in the haze.
No eager expectant eyes
No boredom to kill,
No grunts of disgust
From the older ones will...

I'm married to a tinnitus suffering musician. You nail they issue of "silence" on the head.
It drives me crazy. Some times I can't hear so well because of it. It changes pitch if I press on my jaw and neck too.😩

The meter and rhythm is all wrong. It is a good for the perfectionist side to just leave it and post. Almost rhyming ideas with a messy construction.
