The Bump In Her Belly - Original Haiku

Erratic appetites,
sleepless nights.... all for the
bump in her belly
For the countless bouts of puking and the constant nausea.
For the sleepless nights and terrible mood swings.
For the strange appetites; and sometimes none.
.............
Yet the love for this little bump, none can compare.
37 weeks of being different; 37 of being strange.
To bring this little bump to life, they endure all.
None is like the mother's love.
The love for the little bump in the belly.
A Haiku is a short Japanese Poem consisting of 3 lines.
Traditionally, Japanese haikus consist of 17 syllables, in three phrases of five, seven and five syllables respectively. Among contemporary poems Teikei (fixed form) haiku continue to use the 5-7-5 pattern while Jiyuritsu (free form) haiku do not.
This is a Jiyuritsu Haiku.

Beautiful haiku :) My sister has had two kids in the last few years, during which there was a period of time where her husband suffered a neck injury. So, I was there to help out a lot. In fact, I'm heading over there in about an hour.
