THE STRENGTH OF AFRICA
We are said to be dark
They called us nothing but black
As their apes we were forced to obey
Working in their plantation without pride or pay
In Oceans did many die
In plantations did many cry
They saw us to be weak and inferior
And themselves strong and superior
And those came for evangelism
Became masters of colonialism
They came to be palm traders
Only to dominate as slave traders
They said we lack civilization
But in same vein came exploitation
Humans and natural resources they came to explore
But colonialism trick did they implore
Africa withstood these
Though not with ease
But with strength and vigor
Came we as victor
Long live Africa as bold
Long live Blacks as Gold
