Poem / River Walk

I walked along the river Dove.
Glance at nature, with adoring Love.
Swans fleet, coots in the reeds.
Water vole scrutinizing for babies needs.
 

Blue kingfisher sup fish from under the tree.
Canoeist racing, moving so free.
Kids playing football, in the local field.
Others in park with dustbin lids as a shield.
 

Fishermen on the mound, enjoying the sun.
Skateboarders on their romp, having lots of fun.
These river walks show so much to me.
As I sit and imagine, under the old oak tree .
