Sadness (The Silent Demon)
Emotions are powerful things. They can be a tool for creativity and action. But they can also crush and destroy.
Feeling sad is a natural thing. We can feel sad for any number of reasons. Sadness itself however, should not be taken for granted. There may be such a thing as a healthy dose of sadness, but it can quickly turn negative if left to fester.
Below is an original interpretation of sadness as a force for personal destruction. Perhaps the more we talk about such concepts in an open and accepting manner, the better equipped we may be to fend off such certain demise.
Sadness
Envelops like blackness of night
It blinds
Instilling fear
Uncertainty builds with no end in sight
Swimming in an ocean of regrets
It's choking me
Suffocation sets in
I wonder if the life I've led is as good as it gets
Lost opportunities and fractured dreams
Deflating all hope
Apathy emerges as king
I put on an outward facade that's not what it seems
Once a pillar of strength and resolve
Firm in convictions
Destined for successes
Now helpless my life begins to dissolve

That is an awesome representation! Nice poetry.
I wrote something like this once, trying to capture that feeling of sadness and depression, but I think yours does it better and more directly.

It is powerful indeed. And on different people it probably has a different effect. While some get crushed i get angry and that is such a powerful kick to move forward to me!
I guess that's the beauty of it all; not only can emotions motivate us to different courses of action, they also affect us each in a very personal specific manner.
