Cracks Beneath The Surface - Original

Cracks Beneath The Surface
Facades
Providing strength through illusion
Slight of hand and misrepresentation
Complex and well constructed
We can be gods
The ruse lasts robustly
When the message is managed tightly
Secrets are kept seamlessly
But inevitably
Like any lie it falls apart
For human nature and probability
Are impossible to outsmart
Eventually the cracks in our facades will show through
Exposing the ridges of discontent
Sewn over years of discord
Lamenting who we are or who we never were
Dreaming of being someone else
When on our own
We are perfectly made
For reasons so profound
Once discovered would surely astound
Free In Thought

Writing is original - Always
Another nice poem mate, you have a talent for it. And it bears so much meaning each time. The cracks always show, no matter how hard you try to disguise them, they always do. Nice photo to illustrate it too.
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate the feedback.
I used my own photos and actually did some post processing on them. You encouraged me to do this a while back. It wasn't much but I played with the contrast levels on both photos to try to wash out the background on the flower shot and sharpen the crack lines on the first.
See, and it came out just perfect :) All of your blog is 100% original content :) And i am sure it feels even better to illustrate your own poetry with your own images :)
Yes it does feel good. But I'm afraid I won't have enough original photography of interest to attached readers to my writing. That's why I use stock/free images for most of my writings. Maybe I'll try using more of my own more often though. Thanks!
It does not have to be yours all the time, just occasionally, and then more often, and again and again, and then you'ff find yourself hooked to photography, as i did, slipped in seamlessly, never had the intention :)
