This was supposed to be an every night event as i promised, but some circumstances couldn't allow me. But thank God now that everything is okay and i promise to be here every night to give you something to while away time while relaxing. So please lay back and enjoy this lovely poems tonight.

Many poems open our ears to sounds, and our eyes to sights, that we have not noticed before. Have you heard leaves drinking rain?. Have you seen the sun shining in a raindrop?

I hear leaves drinking Rain;
I hear rich leaves on top
Giving the poor beneath
Drop after drop;
'Tis a sweet noise to hear
These green leaves drinking near.

And when the sun comes out,
After this rain shall stop,
A wondrous light will fill
Each dark, round drop;
I hope the sun shines bright:
'Twill be a lovely sight.

This is the song of a mother rocking her child to sleep, and praying the wind to bring back the child's father by blowing his sailing ship gently home. Perhaps the Father was a fisherman or a sailor.

Sweet and low, sweet and low,
Wind of the western sea,
Low , low , breathe and blow,
Wind of the western sea
Over the rolling waters go,
Come from the dying moon, and blow,
Blow him again to me ;
While my little one, while my pretty one, sleeps.

Sleep and rest, sleep and rest,
Father will come to thee soon ;
Rest, rest, on mother's breast,
Father will come to his babe in the nest,
Silver sails all out of the west
Under the silver moon :
Sleep, my little one; sleep, my pretty one, sleep.
