Once a beautiful Earth

Once a beautiful earth now a mere shadow of its past,
a haunted ruin it has become, tormented with hunger and thirst,
once a picturesque, extremely picturesque safe place,
that's back when man was godly and full of grace,
today our ground is soaked with tears instead of rain,
the land laments with us it can't bring forth grain,
Once a beautiful earth now a mere shadow of its past,
