DAY 73 (seventy three) "The African hunter"

in #poetry6 years ago

images (31).jpg

Black skin dark night
Silently waiting
Nothing in sight
Crouched low
Spear poised
Sudden movements
Already alert

Twigs breaking
Jerking spasms
Suddenly frightened
Runs for life
Pursues with great enthusiasm

Spear thrown
Cutting through dense air
Towards fleeing victim
Steel connects with flesh
Spewing out hot blood
A victorious grin

African hunters are legendary.

This is pure descriptive poetry, the African man can certainly relate and as well, the European and other will, the Imagery is top knotch.
The fact that your verses are short, yet you manage to fit in all those details it's totally beautiful my friend I love this.
