Echoes of Yesterday
The echoes of yesterday softly fade,
In memories where light once played.
A fleeting smile, a whispered word,
Now lost in winds, no longer heard.
Through time’s long halls they drift away,
Like shadows chasing dying day.
Yet in the heart, they still remain,
A bittersweet, unspoken pain.
For though the past is far behind,
Its echoes linger in the mind.
A gentle pull, a silent plea,
To hold on tight to what used to be.
