BE MY STAR (POEM FOR A LOVER)

Can you be the star that guides my feet on a dark night,
When the moon slumbers and when my feet is weak

Can you be the little prayer that escapes my lips
And warms my heart when it needs the heat

Can you be the craving that thrills my mind
To its tiniest bit

Can you be my desire
And the eyes that i gaze at till i find my sleep

Can you be the dream that keeps me ignited
And makes us fireflies till the sun comes up

Can you be you,
The prettiest thing i have ever seen
