Perhaps we stay past when the music fades and becomes noise because we are hoping against hope for another chance to mend the broken passion.
Exactly @cecicastor, we desperately try to mend the broken passion with "weak thread" but that's all we have to give.

it is true that you have a good mind eye, because, it's better to really say goodbye before the music becomes noise. it takes the wise with a good mind eye to say this. good job.
Exactly @freedom12 but how many times do we get it right? I've often stayed long after the music has ended.
