ONE MORE STEP
It's never
in our control
it's never
really what
we want
We live
in the past
we live
in the future
never
in the present
because it hurts
too much
Being witness
to our losses
prideful attempts
at success
but feeling the
cold hand of
failure
Point us
uncomfortably
away from our
hopes and dreams
so others can pick up
where we left off
and reach success
with that
one more step
we
could not
make
