Applause
APPLAUSE
Recognition
never comes
when you want it
we feel robbed
deflated
believing our
passion
goes unnoticed
We all
want to matter
we want
our passions
visibly displayed
and shared
with the world
Perhaps
the actor
only acts because of
the applause
at the end of the show
enduring torturous rehearsals
and deep soul places
revisited
to pull emotion
just to hear
the roar of applause
under hot
stage lights
The teacher
dedicates time
from his own family
to students because
his joy is in seeing them
succeed in what for him
is now groundhog day
The best
recognition
is the unexpected
thank you
for something
you would do anyway
although
when the pat on the back
is received
it doesn't feel like
you thought it would

Honestly,
Doghaus
Applause is just like a catalyst that speed up and as well improved our ability to do something. The effect of it in people can't be overemphasized. @doghaus your words are great and inspirational
Thank you @millerkay, I guess it's a fine line being driven by applause and your own intrinsic motivation.
@originalworks
How very true. It is nice to be recognised for the small things that you do everyday...
I agree @cecicastor...it's the ultimate reward - unasked.
