Allegedly
ALLEGEDLY
A gash
in a full ego
with dreams
spilling out
and falling
into a void
lost
forever
Karmic
equalizations
making right
the wrongs
we miss
along the way
Choosing
to turn away
than face
the truth
inside
begging
to be seen
With age
allegedly
comes wisdom
married with
forgetfulness
We learn
the answers
only
when they
do not matter
anymore

Ain't that the truth. I've read through poems and pieces from when I was in high school only to find myself in the exact same scenario as if I learned nothing from the first time. beautifully worded (:
Like looking at a mirror instead of an old picture...I totally agree with you - but just maybe that's how it's meant to be? Fate? I guess that's another poem! All the best @charlotteroze
@originalworks
we certainly learn the answers only when they do not matter ..well said
Thank you @shabab1
welcome
I love these lines. I would hope that wisdom comes with age and the forgetfulness doesn't. The answers should matter but in time they don't.
Kind of a sweet paradox @cecicastor
