She kept staring at him
Trying to understand what exactly happened
Where did everything go wrong
One moment their lives were perfect
But right now
Everything was in shambles
Where exactly did it go wrong
Did she make a mistake by trusting him
What exactly caused it
They were a happy family
Only to realize it has been an illusion
How did the warning signs pass her
Or was she too disillusioned to see them
How could she tell anyone
Her husband left her
They were the model couple
Friends wished to live them
Children wanted to grow to be them
Even elderly couples envied them
But now everything was all over
It was all a lie
He was in love with another
She must have failed as a woman
Her husband of ten years
Was leaving finally
For months she tried to figure out
Why he was no longer the loving man she married
He had sex like it was a chore
Without any form of emotion
The only confidant she had was his best friend
Only he could understand and console her
And console he did
But now she felt stupid
Her confidant was the cause of her problems
Her husband was leaving with his best friend
She was broken and almost hopeless
How could this illusion be her life?
