THE JOURNEY OF LIFE
I was just resting at his feet without a worry
Somehow I got sent away on this journey
I never had a hand in planning this story
I simply woke up and I was here in the morning
In the morning I didn't learn in any hurry
I simply took everything like it was nothing
Somehow I found so many things so funny
And I forgot that it would be noon quite shortly
Slowly it dawned on me that noon was at hand
that my journey here would soon come to an end
That in truth I am but a living statue of sand
And as sand I am bound to soon disband
I vowed to myself to fulfill one single mime
To engrave my name in the sands of time
That though I might be behind on the line
I would surely make it across the Rhine
At the end of this unplanned journey
I would be able to tender my happy stories
Stories born of conquests and victories
And success stories from my short travel
