Love the humour in a quite serious poem. You are right in saying that this is an international problem. I am unsure of what the laws are here, but, as far as I know/remember, you would need to not have sex with another man for a year. It is obviously better than a lifetime ban, but still, it is problematic. I know others have labelled it as an LGBT+ issue, but it is not the community that suffers the consequences. Anyone needing blood will suffer if there is a shortage. It is a medical and social problem, and the longer it will take to fix, the more lives are being put in danger.
That is so very, very wrong! Of course you reject sick blood, but just because a person is homosexual should not be grounds for rejection! But I love the humorous way you commented on the issue.
Thanks, Bex. I think this issue is gradually being resolved but in countries where homosexuality is seen as a moral and spiritual evil, it will be a long time coming.
A part of me (the twisted part) wishes for some of the people who foster hatred to die because they can't get blood when they need it, since they consider homosexual blood to be dirty.
Glad to hear those rules have been changed. Superstitions without being backed by facts makes everyone the loser here.
I really liked the rhymes at the start!

It is a huge problem still in many countries. I think it's one that's often charged by superstition and misunderstanding.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading :)
It definitely has to be misunderstanding. There is nothing scientific or medical to it. Who knows. They might be scared of bleeding glitter...
I highly support you @damianjayclay and the LGBTQ community!
Thank you and thanks for reading.
OMG!
@damianjayclay you are simply terrific.
The rhythmic pattern and rhyme scheme is mind-blowing.
Your work is extraordinaire!
Thanks, Samuel. This is actually a fun one to perform. I might post up an audio version of it soon.

I can't even joke around about this. It's too important.
Thanks for reading. Audio version coming soon.
Those are some strong words @damianjayclay.
And the rhyming is just perfect :)
Cheers

Thank you. And thanks for reading. :)
Nice Poem to a relevant topic!!
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for reading :)
Love it.. Writing a poem isnt that hard. Writing a good poem, one dealing with hard topics is another deal entirely. Amazing. ❤
That's lovely of you to say. Thank you for reading.

Strange indeed. It's something I hope is slowly changing. Thanks for reading :)
