Thou Rainy Youth

Lillicking slice of mist,
Thou mischievious droplets
That irritate the countenance,
Blessèd be thee beside the
Fumes of sorcery that
Sputter by.

Fluthering spoons of wind
That smooth back bronze locks,
Pastel enlivenment of the
Season's subtle change, that
Maketh thee the golden child!

Nil exempt from that
Enchanting aura of man
Betwixt the grunge and
Tenderness. The young
Do hark the colored
Lights which shine
In scintillating
Grins, caress &
Mesmerize the
Eyes & mind.

Wherefore came that
Monochrome villain,
Time, the wearièd procession
Which eats at the edges of
Enthusiasm's red candle?

The ornament was found
Shattered by the maid.

Whence should go a
Blue exuberance but
Downstream into the
Beguiling churn?

Fell we all headward,
Subsumed by the fluctuating
Darkness, that e'er cleansing
Flame, into the veins of the
Pyrotechnical peafowl
Exploding unnameable
Things which beckon
Thoughts of Youth &
Rain.

Wow, fantastic, just mind blowingly well done. Yes, that is not a real word, but why settle for real words, Dr. suss didn't.

Thanks a lot!
It's really fun to write in this style.

Likewise sir!

Very nice poem, I like how you use old English words. I liked the line;
Fluttering spoons of wind
That smooth back bronze locks.
Thanks for the share!

LOL, looks like I am not the only one that liked that line. Winner.

Yeah it is fun to write in an antiquated style :)
Thanks for sharing the part that made an impact on you!
