Ageshifter
A fire has been lit
under the docile waters of my childhood.
Yeses take the shape of nos.
I’ve been sprayed with a weird emotion.
My easygoing, kidly thoughts
have morphed into a Tchaikovsky concert.
Girls take the shape of women.
My confidence has suffered a corrosion.
“Who are you?”, my father asks,
and, indeed, I also seem to wonder.
Funny takes the shape of tragic.
I've just had an identity explosion.
