"Separation Anxiety" ~A Haiku~ by Duncan Cary Palmer
“And ever has it been known that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.”
– Khalil Gibran –
Love can make us slightly neurotic.
We can't imagine life without our love by our side...
I can't live, if living is without you...

What would we do without them?

When I consider
the thought of life without you,
I am overcome.

You are why I'm here on Steemit!
I have very eclectic interests and hope, over time, to write about them all.
Muy bonita fotografía y bello poema. Saludos amigo.
Mil gracias, @karlin.
Ohhh - if I was to consider life without my Creator, I am overcome.
As for love as it relates to another human, would these words not be statement focused on self, rather than the person we love? I look at
God's definition of love, which leaves no doubt that true love must never about us ouselves:
Good point, @globocop...
Nevertheless, when we are married, the LORD tells us that we have become one. And so it is entirely understandable that the loss of a spouse would be devastating, would it not? ;)
that thought should make us patient with our spouses' shortcomings and proactive in meeting their needs. Sadly it doesn't because wisdom is generally an afterthought. Would it were not so
Yes, 20-20 hindsight... );
We must be proactive indeed!
God ain't that the truth! Been there and bought the wardrobe. Most recently with the loss of Marcia. But one must know the difference between real love, co-dependency and infatuation. As there often is a fine line between these word siblings, one must have the wisdom to discern. Khalil Gibran quote cuts to the bone in truth. Thanks for a great post my friend.
