You used to be my home
In those day when I would roam
Across your blue immenseness
On waves of frothing foam
You filled my youth with promise
Of adventures still to come
Of endless possibilities
When my life had just begun
But those days they are all gone
I am an old man upon the shore
Staring at my old friend, my lover
Who’s touch I know no more
