Slow Internet - The Daily Limerick #33
Greetings, Steeming, Limericians!
Welcome to the #dailylimerick, where I bring you at least one original limerick every single day. I take topic requests, and I'm always happy to hear limericks in the comments!
Today's chosen topic is The Slowness of Internet (Where I Live)
The internet really is unbelievably slow here. I live in Crestone, Colorado, right at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo range. Life's a little slower here, and in spite of there being multiple options for ISP's, nothing that's offered is really fast enough.
It hasn't really been much of a problem for me, as I don't make videos that often. My wife @carrieallen, however, is often having great difficulties getting her daily videos to upload in a timely fashion.
Slow internet haunts my dreams;
I wake up hearing the screams
of failing uploads,
downloading that slows,
Losing connection with Steem.
Catchy limerick. Cool idea. Gave me a flashback to reading Tolkien years ago. He would have characters express themselves in little limerick songs like that. Cool way to get the little quips out of your head and off your chest!
Sorry to say I have no ideas for boosting your internet speed. Try feeding the hamster on the wheel inside your computer?
I don't have the right size wrench to open his little compartment... ;)
That's funny; I'm actually re-reading LOTR right now, for probably the fifth or sixth time. That's the thing I love most about the lost world that Tolkien wrote about. I'm kind of like a minstrel from a bygone time. It's usually easier to express myself in rhyme than prose.
Thanks for commenting!
A lost minstrel in a world of tech
found the blockchain and thought, 'What the heck?'
I'll upload my poems,
And wife's videos,
And convert with coin payments dot net!
that is nice poetry i see
keep iy up and cheer up with that
Ive missed a whole lotta daily Limerick😢.
No bother, I am back.
I wished I could give a solution to your internet speed challenge, I am having same problem here, though it is not often.
No worries :) I've missed a couple as well. It's good to take a break from Steeming every once in a while.
The internet thing is just something we've learned to deal with. If we move it'll get better ;)
