Nefertiti's Curse - A Poem
It's been so dark so long that I've forgotten how to feel,
The bandages upon my flesh are not the kind that heal;
They rather bind my soul and bones, my afterlife repeal
Until I'm found by men, with their tools of iron and steel.
Then the final curse upon this world I will reveal,
Which the ones who seek my riches never wanted to conceal,
And when they call I'll show them all that magic is quite real,
As they lead me to the helpless souls my darkness soon shall steal.
I'm patient as can be;
Some day they'll come for me.
