Contest #9 Christmas is in the air

In the dark of winter a lamp glows in the yore
it may be cold outside but the spirit of Christmas brings the warmth of the heart to the fore
malice and hatred is a disease and love for all is the only cure
share the warmth of giving and keep the heart pure
Greetings are exchanged and my Christmas tree is up
Get the mistletoe in place and its time to tidy up
wrap all the gifts and make a nice star that we put right up
No one messes with my tree, with these instructions on guard, the gingerbread men are standing up
Christmas may be just a few days away but the spirit has arrived
Be it neighbors or be it friends everyone is invited without distinction or divide
with hearts filled with joy and spirits on a high may life give your dream a good ride
May they soar, yet be secure and they came true is what you may get to say with pride
