I wasn't sure if I used too many metaphors, In the first stanza, I talk about when the color purple was once a luxury. The second stanza was about when the flower(tulip) was once a luxury. The third was about when salt was once a luxury.
Although each stanza can also be interpreted as a present definition of luxury on its own. So it's kind of a double meaning.
