Amphetamine

Dosed as trial and smudged as a victim,
I have trouble concentrating and my doctors vindictive.
Gasping for comfort but startled with energy,
This fine functioning motor at the hands without empathy.
Quick fixes and coaxed words
Enticement of promise,
Easily obtained
Yet too easy to be honest.
How does one cope with a cluster of non concentration?
"Here, swallow this" it might fit the occasion.
Shallow a stomach could ever have been
I've been up for four days now and haven't been fed.
Calm nerves at a catastrophic price
Quick minds at the sacrifice of life.
