Poetry: Dumped on air!!!!!

Dumped on a National Radio Station!!!
Ashley was doing her occasional laundry,
It was another normal day,
But she felt moody,
However all this changed at Chris' Lobby,
When she noticed a ring suddenly,
Chris got it earlier that day,
She had to call her friend Maggy,
She was really happy,
A call came and she was all jumpy,
It was from one of the popular Radios in the country.

She knew she was lucky,
The host inquired her fantasy,
Especially on marriage proposal strategy,
She felt like a star in the sky,
And was thrilled to hear Chris was on the Radio already,
An idea popped into her head quickly,
That Chris was to propose to her today,
The witness was the entire country,
She just sat because her legs were too shaky,
And waited for the big moment eagerly,
Her body was all sweaty.

Happiness overtaken by her anxiety,
She glared at the wall clock suddenly,
And noticed the seconds matched a century,
Her pulse moved so quickly,
And her mouth dry and salty,
It was a day to be marked in her history,
She waited for Chris to deliver the message quietly,
Finally, it was time for Chris to talk to Ashley.

From his tone she could tell he wasn’t happy,
But she was on air and couldn’t show she was weary,
Chris said that his love for her had been so steady,
And that he once wanted to be her kids' daddy,
She didn’t know why Chris was so angry,
When Erick's name came up she got all teary,
Chris accused her for treating him nasty,
For making out at a bar corner on that Sunday,
He insulted her on the Radio terribly,
Asked her to pack and disappear completely.
Ashley was sobbing and all shaky,
She wished Chris knew the whole story,
That his friend Erick had attacked her badly.
