Emotional strength

In the course of our journey in life,
We get to certain points,
Points where confusion set in,
Points where even courage fail us.

We look inward and outward,
At people, stories, things and places,
Seeking motivation wherever we can find it,
Sometimes, a few times, we get lucky.

We find what we seek without stress,
It could be the story of the bread seller turn model,
Or the story of the man born with phocomelia now and evangelist,
We hear them and we are wired!

It could be the eagle who faces the sun
Picks out its feathers when they are weak,
Retreats to a cave till it is grown again
Just so it can fly high!

Yes, we do need support of others,
We read or hear their stories and get the push,
However, we need our inner strength,
Strength beyond the physical that comes from within.
