DAY 5: 100 DAYS POETRY CHALLENGE "DECEIT"
Like a flash of lightening
Gliding stealthily
Like the straw of a cat
From the realm of the heart
No! By the reams of the mouth
Escaping like the stench
Of a volatile soul
Making the air foul
With feeling sour
Tinturing warm hearts to wail
Tainting love a colourless pale.
The flip of the tongue
Emitting tell tales
Of blatant lies
That prick an eye, to shed.
For the deceit
By the bashful baskets
With punctured holes
Dripping atrocious tales
With a motive
To convince
Deceive
Destroy
The self or the other.
But its seed wither
By punch of the winds,
When truth in glorious majesty,
Storms.
