The city is home and refuge, but also hell and prison... The city is an inspiration for poetry and art in general. This is a beautiful selection, @nancybriti. I have to say that Cavafis is also my favorite. I live in a beautiful city that has been and is a source of inspiration with its burning sun, with its sunsets, with its smell of sea.
