Life is an illusion...
Saw sunsets dissolve in the acid of blistering rain,
saw dense smoke being blown by the sudden wind,
saw dark clouds thunder with streaks of flashing light,
saw a stranger walk up to me and say 'Life is an illusion'.
You are here today and gone tomorrow,
as they cry and rent their pain with sorrow,
for lost moments that you alone could borrow.
Saw blizzards storm within a deep grey chill,
saw wasted times coming back for lost love,
saw freedom dissolve without a tomorrow,
saw stark sanity crave for an insane lust.
You are gone tomorrow and living here today,
reaching for goals beyond the roles you play,
leaving sunshine searching for the abysmal grey.
Saw the first rays of sun greet a blessed morn,
saw hope within the the soft change of dawn,
saw passion move the pillars of a wasted form,
saw treason break the bonds of an unwanted storm.
You are the only reason for my bliss tomorrow,
slowly removing me from my deepest sorrow,
never showing what you can really borrow.
