Vipassana is a highly recommended meditation practice, that usually involves 10 days focusing on the natural, uncontrolled breath and bodily sensations, and how the mind/body is one constant change. I was first attracted because the courses are all run on donations of previous meditators. Search it up, dhamma.org, and see if there is a center near you! Well worth it, if you want to learn about your deepest self, and can handle 10, mostly, silent days, without meat, sex, smoking and vice..
I have been back a few times, and I'm looking to arrange the next, though there is quite a long waiting list for my local center.
