Poetry: A Little Child #STEEMIT STARS DAY-3
A little child barely walking,
You gaze at him intently, plotting all you desire from him.
You assign the role you want his feeble arms to forever carry out.
A little child growing up,
His sense of reasoning very languid, you feed him your perspective.
You educate him about the person you want him to be.
A little child now a teenager,
He finds the path you choose for him hectic, his passion craves something else.
You don't care, it doesn't matter your plans for him are more beneficial.
He is barely joyous still he perseveres because making you proud is essential.
A little child now an adult,
He toils, he gives his all, he breaks and you bark.
His efforts are insufficient because you want only perfection.
A little child finally your product,
He has lost colour in his eyes, the efforts of his hand yield wealth but still they are numb to him, his soul undoubtedly unhappy.
You don't see that, you just look at him and tell him how finally you are so proud of him.
