My heart beats only out of habit
Graphic scenes
Leave no reprieve to laugh at
Mad at my past, at last -
I'm torn asunder
Thunder cackles
As the darkness pulls me under
Not another runner,
Blunder seated in my feet
Greeted by defeat
With each morning on repeat
Mourning who I was,
Fearing who I am
Feeling crossed by the gods
Like a sacrificial lamb
