As it
Breaks the barrier
Of light and sound?
Snaking up and down,
In and out,
The circuitry buzzes
With life.
Caught midway
Between a tempest and a lull,
The ship pitches starboard
Threatening to capsize,
As the flood reigns in a skull.
Monkeys on a ladder,
Still reaching for that fruit;
Still not grasping,
Divinity doesn't come
To the hand of a forceful brute.
