"Town" (An Original Poem & Song)

in #poetry7 years ago (edited)

I sit here counting down the days it's just the same,
Everyone plays their own little game.
It's just so bright that I could barely seem to see the world crumble,
Know we'll be okay, just watch it all fade away.

I guess I'll catch you on the other side of town,
I guess it could have been longer,
We watched our time get cut down the middle.
I guess I could've really been a little bit nicer.
These things in life seem so brittle, surrounded by all these riddles.

On and on it goes, on and on it goes, and we all get trapped in the middle.

Counting down the days we're just too late.
Every second we take to asses we're just delayed.
It's just so bright that I could barely seem to see the world crumble.
