We touched, I fell in love
But my love was but a naff
Not enough to spark a nerve
In her or win her heart

Her eyes were cold as eyes
But her eyes could melt an ice
But I couldn't break the ice
Between us, though hard I tried

And as Rhoda rode her horse away
I sat on the floor in the meadow where we met
Sober, to sob and cry
Cos I'll never find such a girl again.
