The snow falls in so many ways
Light flurries, squalls mixed with sleet
Bands of lake effect snow or Nor- Easter's that are surely going to blow
But the dreaded blizzard is the one that seems it will never go

As the snow falls from the sky
The snow coats everything
From roofs to the grass even the base of the evergreen trees
As the wind picks up I watch the snow spin and dance across the sky

The drivers waiting for the snow plows to come rummbling by
Spinkling salt or soot that will eternally rest in the creveses of almost everything
Yet providing us all the false hope of traveling saftly
Into the world arriving in one piece; arriving alive

Yet rusting the steel and breaking-down the underbelly's no one is imune
They up sale us on under-coating with claims of protecting it all
Nevertheless within 5 years it engulfs it all
Off to the car wash as offten as we can with no advail we never get it all

As the snow falls it puts a hush on the world
It's almost intrancing as it comes out the sky
I sit with a warm cup of tea
And watch the snow cover everthing
