Waiting Room
Waiting Room
By Stephen Martin
We are in a room
The writing is stale
Because it sits.
It snores loudly
Sitting up
On display.
We poke it with sticks
But only to watch moths fly out.
If we woke it up
What would happen?

Simple words, deep meaning. Was that contradictary?
I hope not. Lol. If so I'm in deep trouble because I have an affinity for simple words and often attempt to plunge the depth of meaning. 😎
Congrats! Your poem was featured in the Daily Dose 102

It's so clever. Perhaps everything is as it should be: We're woke, holding sticks - and it's, sleeping with moths ;-)
Perhaps. 😎
