Poetry 365 | Day 69 | Sonnet 2 & February's Publication of Blockchainpoetry
A son is a light to a father's heart,
Shining bright on the dreams of the future,
A being true to his mission in part,
Whether or not his intent is demure.
Call to the wind of paternal decree,
Understand that the bow bends to the sun,
Holy is the breath of eternity,
Under the roots the beginning's begun.
Pride is mistaken for a life of force,
But really it is just a happiness,
Rejoice in your love no matter the course,
And pray for their joy to be of the best.
Offspring are rarer than you may first think
The well may not always offer a drink.
