Do you want a trip inside my mind?
Once you’re in,
The exit is pretty hard to find.
Do you want to see everything like me?
You think you really know me....
You think you really know me?
Have a look inside my psyche,
Is it everything you expected of me?
Do you like what you see?
Am I still pretty and pristine?
Bet you didn’t think all that darkness
Really came from me.
It’s almost like I make it
In a factory.
Churn it out,
The byproduct of every failed relationship,
Every love scorned,
It piles up after years of abuse.
My version of toxic waste....
Is this was you expected to see?
All the darkness that eats at me
Does it make my smile seem different to you?
Or are you still happy to pretend
I’m this angel you want me to be?
This pedestal you’ve built
Was never meant for me
You’ve turned me into
Some type of benevolent being
Without even seeing
The soul that resides in me.
